Memories of the Filing and Stationary Office during the late 1950s

Elizabeth Floyd worked as an office junior in the Filing and Stationary Office during 1957. Her role involved the maintaining of company records and files relating to all aspects of Fielding and Platt’s business operations, as well as relevant stationary ordering duties.

Elizabeth was also responsible for the postal services around the Fielding and Platt plant and her job took her to many different machine shops and factory buildings, as well as the office departments. Here, Elizabeth recalls her role at the firm and shares her memories of the docks at the time that she was employed there.
