  • Rory’s motorbike was a “Douglas Dragonfly, horizontally opposed cylinders, shaft driven, (blue).
Rory and Noddy called in to see us, Alan and Pat Jay, for lunch before travelling up to see Tony on his 70th Birthday. We were then living at Mermaid Waters, Queensland, Australia.

Ed: Thank you for your contribution to our website, Stuart. The Douglas Dragonfly was a 350cc bike. All useful information! John B

  • Derek Bennet was accompanied by Rory when they flew out to Australia for my 70th. 2012. Sadly “Noddy” passed away shortly after his return to his home. “Rory” , whom I hadn’t seen since my Fielding days enjoyed his trip immensely. Our sincere condolences to all family and friends.

  • Hi, would this gentleman have still been at F&P during my time there, I vaguely remember someone in the old number one fitting shop who might of been him?
