TERENCE OWEN DIX

Known affectionally asTerry by all his colleagues at F & P. It is with sadness that we report that Terry died on April 1st 2020 at the age of 93.

Due to the unprecedented circumstances we find ourselves in, no funeral arrangements have been announced. Maybe a Memorial Service will be held when things get back to normal.

In his days with the Company, Terry worked in the Light Machine Shop as a Centre Lathe Operator. He was well known for his sense of humour, shared with friends of like minds working around  him, namely  Freddie Perkins, Tony Franklyn and Gerry Wyham.         Few will forget him.

  • ! worked on the marking out table that backed onto Terry’s machine. I bought
my first car off him and watched Gloucester rugby with him. I also spent a lot of time at his house rebuilding the Triumph 2000 he was always working on in his garage. He also played skittles with GJSSC with me and my family. A lovely man, he will be greatly missed.

  • Sad to hear about the passing of Terry, I didn’t really know him personally, but I do remember him being one of those wonderfully amusing people that worked at F&P! RIP Terry.
