  • Hi, just been going through some of the extensive number of photos on the website and came across these. Yes, that is John Little (snr) in the first two. He was indeed a commissioning engineer travelling the world to install F&P equipment.
I recently met for the first time with John Seddon (featured in the People section) to discover we were both former F&P apprentices in the 70’s. I did my first year EITB apprenticeship at the training school in 1975-76 with instructors Chris Cruse and Marcus Jelf.

Ed: Thanks for your contribution, John. Do you happen to have a photo of the 1975/76 apprentice intake that we can add to the other apprentice intake photos in the People section?
John (snr) was a valued member of the commissioning engineering team and oversaw the installation and commissioning of the 16MN Aluminium Extrusion Plant in Damascus, Syria, in 1995/96. John B

  • Hi John!  Looking at these photo’s again, I’m pretty sure that in the first two photos it is John Little at the controls, probably during commissioning trials.

I am sure you are correct – just waiting for someone to flag up his name!  John B
