Basic specification, as follows: –

Horizontal three-throw hydraulic pump, ram size 1/2″ dia. x 1 1/4″ stroke, crankshaft speed 960 rpm, output 2 gal/min. @ 10,000 lbf/sq.in. pressure, motor 20 BHP, pressure medium water.

The following is a transcript from the back of the second photograph.

 Equipped with a ‘Heenan’ Dynamic Eddy Current Coupling, complete with an electronic control device incorporating a ‘Heenan’ Alnico generator acting as a governor to control the grid circuit of the exciting current, by which the driven shaft of the coupling can be maintained constant over a wide range down to 30 rpm despite changes in load.
