  • Good Morning! Could you tell me if this was the man F.James Fielding from Heenan and Froude? l live in Australia and my late Father worked at Fielding Spring Works, in Kensington, Melbourne. l have a book called the Multiform manual by F James Fielding of Heenan and Froude, 1959.

    Ed: Hello Craig. It was indeed one and the same! He was Managing Director of Fielding & Platt, part of the Heenan Group at the time and he was based in Gloucester. You will find a lot more about Jim Fielding, as we knew him, on our website. I was not aware that he had written the book that you describe. Perhaps you could supply our readers with a bit more information about the book? The Fielding Spring Works to which you refer, was that anything to do with Fielding & Platt, or was that just a coincidence? John B
