Newman Hender 24" Valve Assembly, O/No. 63240, c.1963

This order included 2 – 18″ dia. and 3 – 24″ dia. Class 300 Valve Assemblies.

The valves were of Newman Hender design.

The first photograph was recently donated by Doug Davis who is shown atop the ladder!  Doug was in his 3rd year apprenticeship at the time.

The second photograph was recovered from a poor-quality glass negative, digitally converted and enhanced. Both photos were taken in Hyd 1 Fitting shop.
