  • Hi John!  If I’m not mistaken, I went to Norton’s scrap yard as a very young apprentice in 1966 to assist on some work being done on this shear. All I can remember is that the fitter I went with was Dave Jones and the electrician was Owen Hockaday. I have no idea what we went to do, but it was my very first ‘away job’!    Chippy Aston
