  • We currently are running this model of shear and keep limping it through. Years ago we updated the hydraulics with Nachi valves and soft hoses. Definitely a work hardened beast. Anyone with electrical or mechanical drawings please send.

  • I was on site looking after the electrics when the film group and Brian Mince came to take all these pictures. The site was an old steel works at Bynia just outside Llanelli. It was the very cold winter of 1963 and there was no shelter, just a roof over the shear. We kept warm by burning the bits of wood from all the railway carriages being scrapped there. The fitter on site was Ray but I have forgotten his other name. We stayed in the Stepney Hotel in Llanelli.
