This equipment was procured for a large steel mill in USSR, Mannesmann Demag being the main contractor. A separate company, Fielding Plant Design Ltd., Bournemouth (by this time no connection with F & P, Gloucester), was involved in the design of certain aspects of the steel mill and recommended F&P as supplier of the Main and Descaler accumulator control systems. Their electrical engineer, John Tranter, a former employee of F&P, had earlier moved to Bournemouth and was instrumental in this recommendation!
