Model of a 3900 ton Aluminium Plate Stretching Machine, c.1962

Subsequently ordered by C.E.G.E.D.U.R., France, c.1963

The model of this press was made of wood throughout and was probably constructed in the Pattern Shop. It is likely that it was used as an aid to the sale of the 3900 ton Stretcher that it depicted. The real press is still in operation at Issoire, France!
