  • Just thought I’d let you know that this very press is still in use to this day in one of the Tata Steel Group of companies and is being transferred to a new site this Wednesday. I’ll post some photos of it when it is back up and running.

  • Peter!   Thanks for posting your news of this press. We would be very interested to know where the press has been working and to which site it is being transferred. Have you had an involvement with this press?   We look forward to receiving your photos in due course, that can be added to this page.    John B

  • John. The Press has been at its current site Tata (British Steel/Corus) Plate Solutions Cradley in the West Midlands for the past 22 years. It moved to this site from Kidderminster, I’ll do some digging for you to find out how long it was based there. The company is in the process of being transfered to the Steelpark Wednesfield in the West Midlands. I’ve had limited involvement with it over the past 17 years but I will be participating in its transfer and have removed the hydraulic tank due to height restrictions in the factory.
