Astonishing! I spent quite some time, through the 70’s and 80’s, as part of the team maintaining this press.
Quite innovative for the time, with automatic cycling of furnace charging/discharging and speed-controlled extrusions – my understanding is that the main valve block was, at the time, one of the most advanced ever machined.
Alas, it is no longer there – it was sold to India in the 90’s.
