Specification:3600 ton vertical hydraulic plate bender of the triple-power type
Construction:The machine which is a rectangular construction is to comprise two end girders, top girder and baseplate, which are to be secured together by 13″ diameter tension bars, pre-stressed to 3600 tonf
Main Characteristics:The machine is to be designed to give a maximum bending load of 3600 tons and is to be entirely self-contained and generally in accordance with the following particulars: –
The machine is to be capable of bending the following range of mild steel plates when using a 35″ diameter roller – maximum load 1200 tonf
Plates 1 3/4″ thick x 20′ 0″ wide, cold bent to circle 44″ inside diameter
Plates 1 1/2″ thick x 20′ 0″ wide, cold bent to circle 40″ inside diameter
When using 12″ diameter roller and girder – maximum load 3600 tonf
Plates 3″ thick x 20′ 0″ wide, bent to 1/2 circle 27″ inside diameter
Plates 3″ thick x 20′ 0″ wide, cold bent to 2/3 circle 50″ inside diameter
Plates 5″ thick x 20′ 0″ wide, hot bent to 1/2 circle 50 ” inside diameter
Pumps:For operating the main rams – one set of ‘Fielding’ variable delivery, high-speed, radial pumps designed to give 35 gal/m @3200 psi.
For operating the gripping rams, drawback rams and powersave rams, one set of variable delivery, high-speed radial pumps designed to give 35 gal/m @ 3000 psi
