REUNION of ex F & P colleagues and their partners 5th October 2019

Reunion 2019

Once again the venue was Hardwicke Village Hall. Just over 60 attended. Ollie Taylor opened the proceedings by welcoming everyone and thanking them for coming. He also thanked the members of the Heritage Group for all they had done in preparation for this event.

A film show ran continuously depicting sections from ‘The First 100 Years of F & P’  and a copy of the book on the same subject was  displayed,  together with the photograph boards.

Drinks were available to purchase at the bar but the food from the very tasty buffet was free of charge.

Towards the end of the event Brian Mince read out the names of the four ex colleagues who had passed away since the last reunion in March of this year, namely Donald Blake, Eric Penning, Arthur Rigby and Roy Organ. A minutes silence was respectfully observed.

No charge was made for the event but donations into the ‘bucket’  were very generous indeed.

The proceedings closed at 4 p.m.

Grateful thanks to Alan Castle for providing the photographs displayed here.
