It would be good to hear more about the Pattern makers and Pattern Shop – no doubt they were never short of bats, stumps, and bails in the cricket team with pattern makers around…?
Yes the person in question is George Holland, who happens to be my wife’s cousin, and yes he did work in the pattern shop as a pattern maker.
