  • “With sadness we have to announce the death of John Ansley, which occurred last Wednesday, 25th January. John was a very talented Hydraulic Engineer, well liked and respected. He served our Company for more than 50 years. He was always willing to share his knowledge and pass on advice to his colleagues around him. He was a true gentleman. Our condolences go out to his wife, his two daughters and their families.

The funeral service will take place on Friday 10th February, 11.00 am at Gloucester Crematorium”.

  • I’m missing on this apprentice intake photograph because I was hospitalised having injured my hand in a works accident. The chap on the front row first on the left is Ivan Davis. He went into the merchant Navy after he finished his apprenticeship
