Ed. Note: this photo illustrates an unusual drive system whereby the drive is transmitted across the rear of the pump, supported by plummer blocks to a gear reduction system. Interestingly, it also shows a small remote belt-driven gear-type pump used to provide pressurised oil for lubricating the bearings. A system not seen by the editor on any other photos to date!
