This brochure describes and illustrates the cold forming process of Deep Drawing and Ironing whereby circular blanks are converted into deep drawn thin wall components through a series of operations. It should be noted that in some cases the first-stage cupping process may require a dedicated press for that initial operation.
See here for an earlier brochure/leaflet issued under the Redman Heenan International (RHI) Group.
See here for a brochure/leaflet, c.1970’s, describing in detail the deep drawing and ironing process with guidance on materials and heat treatments.
