Hi John! I spotted Danny Wakefield in the first photo, looking toward the camera from the corridor at the back, left hand side.
Hi John! I don’t remember this press, but I do recognise the five people in it. On top of the press is John Bennett, Danny Wakefield is in the gangway to the rear, Jim Smith is sitting on the scaffolding with a spanner in his hand, to his right Vic Holtham and then John Knight just inside the press frame.
I notice that the back of Jim’s boots have been painted white, obviously someone from the marking off table had been nearby and crept up on him and painted them with their marking out paint! The guys had a habit of doing that if you were standing still and they could get behind you without you realising it, and then paint the backs of your boots!
