From this photo it can be deduced that the 3500 psi accumulator system comprised a single air/water vessel (foreground) fitted with dual control tubes (usually one in use and one spare), supported by a multi-vessel pressurised air backup system and two H10 three throw hydraulic pumps.
Order 5413 in 1946 refers to ‘consultant fees for conversion of 3500 ton, 1500 ton Extrusion presses and a 1500 ton Forging press.
