The two photos show the 1500 ton press in action at Daniel Doncaster, Sheffield. The photos were taken in 1984 as part of a portfolio I was producing for a photography course at Richmond College, Sheffield. Having worked for Doncaster’s from 1977 to 1980, I remember well the press in action. The young man at the controls of the press is Ricky Derbyshire.
